As a business owner or CEO you have the drive, ambition and passion to build something that you are proud of, can grow and ultimately sell. However, you are also often so consumed by client work that you do not have the time to step back and work on the business, rather than in it.
You need someone that can help you balance your time and give guidance based on having already trodden a similar path.
MY BACKGROUND:
As a career consultant, my role has been to advise senior teams about the best direction that a client should take to grow their business. Quite often though, consultants are seen as people that talk about change, rather than building something themselves.
I have also been lucky enough to spend the last 14 years also focused on growing and selling two very successful niche consulting firms. During this time I averaged between £1-1.4M in sales annually, whilst developing the overall proposition and building the operational back bones. I have made a significant number of mistakes along the way and have learnt a massive amount from senior advisors that helped me to put my head above the parapet and think about the future.

My combined background as a consultant and owner / founder has given me a set of tools to help companies achieve their ambitions. This could be through one-off projects around strategy or operational improvements, or as an ongoing role either a support in building the leadership team, or chairing board meetings.
